A unique feature of Hillcrest is The Cultural Arts Society was formed in the fall of 2009 by representatives from the University of La Verne, Hillcrest residents and staff, and the community-at-large. It was established as a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization, under the auspices of Hillcrest Retirement Community. From its inception, the Cultural Arts Society has been committed to providing access to the performing and visual arts by bringing the arts to our community, encouraging local performing and visual artists, and promoting the arts in our schools.
